SOLINET is proud to announce that it has received a certificate of proclamation from Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Mitchell Landrieu for its “Support of Libraries in Hurricane-Affected Areas.”

The proclamation plaque was accepted by SOLINET Executive Director Kate Nevins (left), seen here with Rebecca Hamilton, SOLINET board member and State Librarian for the State Library of Louisiana.

SOLINET was recognized for its work to assist public libraries in Louisiana and Mississippi damaged by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita through its grant-supported initiative, the Gulf Coast Libraries Project.
