The Web 2.0 Conference Wants You!

I’m really excited about a one-day event that SOLINET and OCLC Eastern (formerly CAPCON) are co-hosting in March. It’s a summit on Web 2.0 technologies and there are some great speakers lined up! Jenny Levine (I love her Shifted Librarian blog) from ALA is going to kick the day off by giving an overview of Web 2.0. People who are actually “doing” web 2.0 in their libraries are going to speak – so I think the information will be applicable and even more important – practical! I’m looking forward to hearing about the statewide training program on Web 2.0 in Maryland and how academic libraries are using social networking. I can’t wait to find out how Danbury Public Library is using LibraryThing to enhance their catalog and I’m interested in ANYTHING that gives libraries more clout - even if it IS metadata!
If you’re interested in attending on March 20 in Arlington, VA check out the SOLINET website for more info: www.solinet.net/Web2.0_Conference.
