TGIF!

We all may know all the movies about the library but did you know that there are many, many songs about the library? There are indeed. Check out the list here from Blisspix.net and enjoy this adorable song about the library from Strawberry Jam I stumbled on from youtube.
In order to spice up this blog, every friday I will write a TGIF post which will contain a puzzle, a trivia factoid or just something fun. Why? Why not right? If you’d like to contribute or share please drop us a comment. And thanks in advanced!

Library songs–I’ve been amazed at the most recent entry into that category–”Librarian” by My Morning Jacket. A snippet–
“Walk across the courtyard, towards the library.
I can hear the insects buzz and the leaves ‘neath my feet…
Ramble up the stairwell, into the hall of books…
Since we got the interweb these hardly get used.”
I find it both a charming and reverent song about librarians and library spaces, but pretty understanding and insightful!
