Pixel

Did you know the term “pixel” is actually short for “Picture Element?” I had no idea until I took a digital imaging of library and archival materials class and thought I’d share.

Some common facts to remember with pixels and your digital imaging:
1) the number of pixels per inch differs upon your resolution
2) the more pixles per inch, the more detail your image may have but it will expand the file size
