The Science News blog has created a twitter account that gives weather alerts. If you are curious or want to follow the weather at your library you can do so now on twitter. To follow weather or to join twitter click here

SOLINET also has a twitter account. Though we are still working a few kinks out we should be twittering like crazy soon about SOLINET information and library related news that may be of interest to you. Follow us on twitter or keep posted here for soon to come tweets!

For those how don’t know, twitter is a new social networking tool that allows users to give short updates (up to 140 characters). This is called microblogging. Twitter is one of the more popular tools out there to use for microblogging. When you blog on twitter, it’s called tweet(s). You can add twitter updates to your website, read your tweets and your follower tweets from twitter.com. To post simply tweet from your cell phone or from your twitter account online, Twitter is free.
