Librarian is one of CNN’s top 10 heroes!

Anderson Cooper just announced the top 10 CNN heroes, each of whom will receive $25K. A top hero will be announced on Thanksgiving day and that individual will receive $100K. Among the ten finalists is Yohannes Gebregeorgis. He is recognized for championing children through his program, Ethiopia Reads. Yohannes also received one of the first ALA Presidential Citations on Innovation in International Librarianship at the 2008 ALA Annual Conference.

It is so gratifying to see some ordenary people like Yohannis Gebergis serving the under privileged children by giving them chance to read a book by using caravan to taking the library to the needy God bless his hurt this is the second to none service I vote for him
