PUBLIC LIBRARY HURRICANE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS WANTED!
The Information Institute, as part of a project on the Role of Public Libraries in Hurricane Preparation and Response, is establishing a “Visual Gallery” on the project website to display digital photos and videos of public librarians’ and libraries’ involvement with hurricanes.
Please send us any photos or videos you have (or links to them) that depict public libraries and librarians assisting their communities or evacuees before, during, and after a hurricane. Photos and videos should be sent directly to Lauren Mandel, Research Associate.
Please provide a short caption for any photos or videos you provide. Identify such items as where the visual was taken, what is occurring and credit. We hope to eventually search the visuals collected by these captions.
We plan to organize these images on the project website so note that sending us your photographs or videos indicates that you are allowing public domain use of any photos or videos you send us.
Information about this project and about the web site being developed to assist public librarians prepare for and respond to hurricanes can be found at: http://www.ii.fsu.edu/hurricanes/
